Hayes’ experience as a licensed professional engineer includes hydrological and hydraulic analyses, bridge and culvert design, utility design, wastewater treatment design and public road improvement and maintenance planning.  As a licensed professional land surveyor, Hayes has extensive experience in supervising and performing topographic surveying including in-stream active channel classifications as well as cadastral/PLSS surveying.
Hayes has served as the lead project engineer for over 15 stream restoration projects encompassing fish-friendly water diversions, historic channel reactivations, floodplain re-engagements, engineered fish habitat structures, barrier corrections, and engineered grade control structures.
