Gabe has extensive restoration design experience including barrier correction, fish-friendly diversion design, riparian habitat enhancement, as well as having 20 years of experience in the field of irrigation efficiency. Gabe has a made a career out of providing landowners with restoration strategies that are mutually beneficial to the landowner and the fish and wildlife in the area. He believes that sustainable agriculture practices can be symbiotic with habitat restoration and has expertly provided solutions which do as such. With experience in both the public and private sector through his eight years of employment with the Wheeler Soil and Water Conservation District and five years with RSI, he has developed a strong understanding of natural resource work.
Growing up on a ranch in Wheeler County, Gabe has spent his entire life in Central and Eastern Oregon. He enjoys being outside and all that nature has to offer. In his spare time he enjoys hunting and fishing, as well as spending time with his wife and two children.

  • Design and implementation oversight of 12 + miles of habitat/stream restoration work
  • Design and implementation oversight of 650,000 + feet of irrigation pipeline
  • Authorized over 75 Oregon Watershed Enhancement Board grants for a total in excess of $3,200,000 directed towards restoration in Eastern Oregon.
  • Authored two successful USDA/NRCS Cooperative Conservation Partnership Initiative Grants worth total of $585,000.
  • Co-authored USDA/NRCS Regional Conservation Partnership Program (North Slope Ochoco Holistic Restoration Project) for a total of over 4 millon dollars.
